FILSAFAT PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DALAM PENGUATAN KARAKTER DI ERA DIGITAL PERSPEKTIF MUHAMMAD NAQUIB AL-ATTAS

The digital era has profoundly impacted education, particularly in shaping students’ character. Technological advancement is often accompanied by moral and spiritual decline among the younger generation. This study aims to examine the relevance of Islamic philosophy of education from the perspective of Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas in strengthening character in the digital age. Using a library research method and hermeneutic analysis, this study explores al-Attas’s core concepts such as adab, ta’dib, and the Islamization of knowledge. The findings reveal that al-Attas’s concept of adab provides a strong philosophical foundation for Islamic education to develop civilized individuals capable of integrating knowledge, faith, and technology harmoniously. Through the application of digital adab values, Islamic education can offer a solution to the moral and spiritual crises of the digital era.
