EFEKTIVITAS METODE ACTIVE DEBATE TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN BAHASA ARAB PADA PEMBELAJARAN FILSAFAT PENDIDIKAN ISLAM

This study aims to determine the the effectiveness of the active debate method on critical thinking skills of PBA students in the philosophy of Islamic education learning. The active debate method is a learning strategy that involves students in active discussions and is able to build arguments and improve critical thinking. This research uses quantitative methods with quasi-experimental design. Data collection through observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed that average value of pre test and post test of 2nd semester students are 72.78 and 84.35 with t test, t hitung > t tabel is 22.956 > 12.675. While the average pre-test and post-test scores of 4th semester students were 73.84 and 85.96 with the t test, namely 12.775 > 11.7. So, use of active debate methods is very effective to determine the critical thinking skills of PBA students in the philosophy of Islamic education learning.
