Abstract

History of Islamic culture is a method to find out a series of important events or events from Muslim figures. And so that students can get valuable lessons from the journey of a figure or generation of the past. If the lesson is only explained using the lecture method without using supporting learning media, students will easily feel bored and find it difficult to understand the material being taught by the teacher. As a result, student learning outcomes may decrease due to the lack of understanding they get. That way, it is necessary to have interesting learning media as a tool to convey material. In this study, researchers developed an educational game media Crossword Puzzle (TTS) on Isra' Mi'raj material to increase students' understanding. This type of research uses the Research and Development (RnD) method using the ADDIE model by following 5 stages of development. The data collection instrument in this research and development uses a questionnaire, pre-test, post-test, criticism and suggestions from the validator with a Likert scale measurement scale. Data analysis techniques were carried out through the normality test, homogeneity test, paired samples t test, N-Gain test, and measuring the level of understanding of .students. The validation subjects in this research and development consisted of one media design expert, one material design expert, and one learning expert
