Abstract

This research article aims to increase children's learning motivation at Kusuma Bangsa Early Childhood Education Center through the application of the PAILKEM learning model (Active, Innovative, Environmental, Creative, Effective, and Fun Learning). This research was conducted using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach in two cycles, each consisting of several meetings. In this study, various methods such as the use of pictures, games, and environment-based activities were applied to increase children's interest in learning. The results showed a significant increase in children's learning motivation. In the first cycle, the average score for student learning interest was 59%, while in the second cycle it increased to 72%. The application of fun and innovative learning strategies, involving the surrounding environment as a source of learning, succeeded in creating an active and enjoyable learning atmosphere for children. In addition, the use of teaching aids and rewards in the form of praise and star stickers also proved effective in increasing students' confidence and enthusiasm for learning. From these findings, it can be concluded that the PAILKEM learning model can increase the learning motivation of early childhood. Learning that involves play and environmental exploration facilitates children's understanding of the subject matter in a fun way and encourages them to participate more actively in activities. Therefore, the application of this model is highly recommended for use in early childhood education institutions to improve the quality of learning and children's interest in learning.
