KRITIK MATAN HADIS VERSI MUHADDISIN DAN FUQAHA’: STUDI PEMIKIRAN HASJIM ABBAS

Abstract

The methodology of criticism of the hadith traditions between Muhaddisin and Fuqaha’ has a difference. The Muhaddisin developed their methodology on two basic frameworks, namely: first, examining the truth and integrity of the text with its editorial composition as well as the composition of the sentences of the hadith. Second, looking at the validity of Islamic teachings that are presented verbally by narrators in the expressions of the traditions of hadith. While for Muhaddisin in the framework of its methodology guided by the basis of not violating the instructions in the Qur'an, it does not violate the hadith which has been established the truth and sirah nabawiyah, does not violate common sense. Therefore from the fuqaha criticized the quality of the truth of the formula of the legal concept which became the substance of the traditions of the hadith and its binding power to the people of the Holy Prophet. This paper examines the thoughts of Hasjim Abbas in the criticisms of the Hadist. The method in this study uses descriptive analysis.
